Relationship Reflection

Relationships are important because everyone needs someone to depend on whenever you need help you should be able to count on them for support. The most important support system for me is my mom, brother, and husband. These are the people that provide positive relationships for me and help me when I am down. And need help. All these relationships are positive because they all give me support, love, acceptance, and guidance. We all work together to give each other that good relationship that is needed.

The toys that are connected to play that make play so important for me as a child was my bike, my record player, and easy bake oven.

Play is very important in a Childs life because it helps them relate to reality. For example in Preschool children get to play in centers and learn through play to wash dishes are imitate what they parents do at home. Outside they will play with a fake lawn mower and pretend to cut the grass. All these play activities prepare our children for the outside world and teach them how to be responsible as well as helpful towards their parents. The role of play during my childhood years were different compare to play now. For instance play back in the day included informational material as well as lessons that stuck with me throughout the years that help me increase my academics in school. Now as an educator looking through the curriculum play is more upgraded through computers, TV programs, and booklets that prepare them for more than the next grade some things you can use in college. Play in childhood and adult hood is good for the soul because you will always learn something new everyday. Play opens the door for adults to learn how children learn now days and give them the chance to bond during homework time.
A quote that I like comes from Comenius “The school is the manufactory of humanity." I believe that he is telling everyone that it starts with school and the children are just moving along through the lessons and learning the skills they need through play to make it in the world. Another quote I will leave educators with comes from Ellen Key. "At every step the child should be allowed to meet the real experiences of life; the thorns should never be plucked from his roses." She is only saying that we need to let our children experience life through play. This is the way they will learn and grow. We as educators should never select them take the easy way out of learning

My Supports

A support system is a great system to uplift relationships in family.  A good positive support system fosters a healthy and progressive life in the future.  Promoting good support help children realize that you can count on the people within a support system you build and you too can offer that same support to others when needed. Working together when times are rough will only strengthen the world around you going at a task alone some time will only make you stress out and bring you down.  The benefits from a support system include:

1. Help when needed
2. Someone you can talk too to relieve your stress
3. Relief when having a hard day
4. More ideas to help you figure your problems out

I would not exist if my support system was not their.  When times got rough I was able and willing to open up to the people in my circle they reinforce some issues that were going on and help me get through the pain.  If my support system was not their it would affect me in a huge way because I would not be willing to help others or give them advice.  This would be a challenge because I would be alone in doing everything and it would be hard but I would not have great ideas from others that help me if their was a good support system.

I know some of my children I have taught has experienced these stressors as child.  These stressors are hard for the children to cope with as children.   In less the children have someone they can depend on and confide into they will be depress and hard to work with in the classroom. The teacher should be warm and comforting towards the child because that’s what helps them open up and lets you know whats going on in their lives.  Sometiems they are to small to let you know and you have to talk to the parents to find out whats going on in their household.  The country that is most effective by hunger, chaose, disesase, violence, and poverty is Africa.  Here there are multiple stressors that are working on the children that are causing them to die and if we do not figure out how to help this country more children will die.  I feel all development areas decrease and the children do not know nothing sometimes the children do not even get to experience the school life and learn anything.  . 

Infant problerms around the world

Sometimes we need to be grateful for what we have and can provide for our littlle infants who can not do for  themselves. In other parts of the world the situations are dier and our children are dying as a result.  In some countries families depend on food that is donate to feed their children because they can not provide it for their family.  Work is limited in Africa and many mothers are feeling the pressure because their families are starving until donations of food arrive.  The water in this country is not clean so they can catch diseases from this as well. The health care system is failing them and thats why their are so many infant deaths in this country.  I could not choose just one topic because in this country they are failing our infants in all areas of their little lives.  Thats why it is up to the surround countries to help out and donate to them so our children can surrive this horrible ordeal.  This topic is meaningful to me because it so sad that infants have to go through this sitiuation.  I wish their were more ways to help this country and help turn it around so more infants can make it to their adult lives.  The website I found talks about the five major problems that are hurting infants in Africa.  For more information or just to read the article hear is the website

When I gave birth to my first child it was exciting yet scary at the same time it was my first time experiencing something like this.  Me and my husband was sleeping and I thought my stomach was just hurting because of what I had ate but it was really my contractions starting.  I drove my self to the hospital me and my husband and the hospital I went to did not deliver babies so they had to call an ambulance to ship me to the right hospital. Riding in the ambulance was fun because it was my first time the contractions were not bad so me and husband was clowning around.  We had the best experience of our lives because we experience together and we will never forget that moment of our son being born into the world at 4:32 am.  I choose this experience because my baby boy was place into ICU for a month because he was born early and it will be a reminder that my baby was a miracle baby for me a my husband because he could not breath and was on breathing tubes at first but he was strong and pull through.  He is one years old now and he learns very quickly and loves to laugh I know he will pull through and change as he grows up.  I will work with him and show him how to learn through play and other activities we will work together. 

            While researching other countries I have found in the country of Africa women our not even going to the hospital to have their babies because of the fear of treatment they will receive from the nurses.  Many women and their babies die because of the process that is taking when women go into labor.  They are not getting the proper care throughout their pregnancy and for the baby is at risk before they are even born.  Many organizations are trying to figure out how they can help this country turn around the death rates of the women and babies in this country.  This is an example of how the poor econmey hurts our children before they are even born.  There are no similarities but there is a huge difference between the births in the U.S compare to the births in Africa.  Women are afraid to ask for help because they fear people will treat them badly in the hospital and they will not get the proper help they need because they are poor.  When this happens the women than hurt themselves because they develop sickness that are worst and that can kill them.  The insight I gain from this comparison is get help when needed and find the right treatment no mater your finical situation someone will help you you just have to look.
